Press Release Regarding The Visit To Be Paid To Tunisia On The Occasion Of Tunisian International Conference On Economic Support And Investment , 28.11.2016

A delegation headed by H.E. Nurettin Canikli, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey in which H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and H.E. Fatih Metin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Economy also participate will attend the “Tunisian International Conference on Economic Support and Investment” to be held in Tunisia on 29-30 November 2016.

In this conference, the target is to strengthen the economic support of international community to the economic reform and restructuring process that was initiated in the country following the Jasmine Revolution.

The aim of the conference is to present the significant projects to the international community which are contained in 2016-2020 National Development Plan. Within this context, it is also expected that participant countries and international organizations declare their political and economic support for the goals of Tunisia laid down in the development plan and, business world and private sector get informed on the investment opportunities the development plan offers.

Turkey once again displays its support for Tunisia by taking part in the Conference at a high level. During the Conference, our project based development assistance for Tunisia will be declared.

H.E. Nurettin Canikli, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will meet their counterparts at the sidelines of the Conference. On this opportunity, they will also be received by the President and Prime Minister of Tunisia and they will have a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Tunisia.
